Negotiating strategies for women on their way to the top

This article appeared in the FTI Journal online in March 2015. It is largely based on work by Carol Frohlinger, founder of Negotiating Women, a consulting firm which advises women on how to rise to leadership positions, and organisations on how to recruit, retain and advance talented women. Ms Frohlinger is a lawyer and her advice work has included working with Bar associations on issues to do with gender equity and women in the law. She also served on a New York State Bar Association task force on the future of the legal profession. She is a co-author of “Her place at the table: A woman’s guide to negotiating five key challenges to leadership success.”
